Xoximilco isn’t a park you walk through, it’s a 3-hour Mexican dinner party on the water, Grupo Xcaret’s tribute to Xochimilco, the UNESCO-listed canals of Mexico City, recreated in the Riviera Maya jungle.
After dark, you climb aboard a hand-painted trajinera and push off into a maze of candle-lit waterways. A multi-course tasting menu of regional Mexican dishes is served at your table onboard, the open bar (tequila, mezcal, rum, vodka, beer) flows all night, and live mariachis and marimba ensembles drift between boats. A host keeps games and sing-alongs going, and the night peaks with the roaring, confetti-soaked baile de los luchadores. You don’t watch the party at Xoximilco, you’re in it.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can kids do everything?
The minimum age is 5, and there’s a dedicated children’s menu. That said, Xoximilco runs late (7 PM – 11 PM) and is built around an open-bar adult party atmosphere, so it works best for families with older kids.
Children 4.5 ft or taller but under 12 will need an ID at the ticket booth to verify age.
Is this a park or a dinner experience?
Is the dinner a buffet?
No, dinner is served at your table on the trajinera. It’s a multi-course Mexican tasting menu with antojitos (Mexican appetizers), main dishes featuring pork, beef, seafood, and chicken, and a spread of traditional desserts. Children’s and vegan menus are available (vegan must be requested in advance).
Open bar onboard throughout the night. Included drinks: tequila, rum, vodka, beer, soft drinks, and aguas frescas. Drinks outside this list carry an extra cost.
